You might have a fantastic website but if potential new customers are not finding your site you will be missing out on new business opportunities. To maximise your chances of getting this new business you need to appear high up in the rankings when people are searching on Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. Businesses rarely get to be near the top of search rankings by accident. Their sites have normally undergone what is called search engine optimisation (SEO).  All of our websites include initial SEO which increases the chances of your website being easily found. Moving up the search engine rankings however takes time and requires ongoing optimisation and promotion which WEBPRESTO would also be happy to help and advise you with.

What is search engine optimisation?

Whenever you enter a query into a search engine you get a list of sites that have terms that match the search string that you entered. Search engine optimisation or search engine optimization as the American’s spell it can be loosely defined as being the process of improving a websites visibility and ranking in organic (i.e. unpaid) search engine results in order to increase the quality and quantity of traffic to a website. Search engines rank websites by what they perceive as being relevance and authority to the search terms entered. Hence SEO is aimed at convincing search engines like Google that your site contains highly relevant and highly regarded information pertinent to the search string entered.

Why do I need SEO?

Attracting potential new customers is often the primary reason for having a website. You may have a fantastic website but if your site is not easily found in search results then you will not get the increased business that you are looking for. Users tend to visit websites near the top of the search result list so ensuring that your site appears as close as possible to first place significantly increases traffic to your site and hence business.

You should aim for your site to appear on the first page of results and ideally you want to reach first position.  Whether this is feasible though largely depends on the market that you are competing in.

Our core business is Website Design and we do not claim to be a IJust to be clear from the outset, WEBPRESTO is not a specialised SEO company, our core business in Website Design. We do however have a good understanding of SEO and our prices are considerably lower than the often unaffordable rates that dedicated SEO companies will charge you. All of our websites include what we term initial search engine optimization meaning that SEO is designed into our websites from the beginning rather than added as an afterthought.

Moving up the search engine rankings takes time and effort so you should not expect your site to appear high up in search engine results when your new website is launched. WEBPRESTO is also happy to work with you to improve your search engine rankings after your website has gone live. We do not however undertake promotional activities such as running blogs, and social networks on behalf of our customers as we believe they are better positioned to do this.

Our ongoing SEO rates start from as little as £20 a month for a single page site. We are also happy to undertake ad-hoc reviews if that better suits your requirements. Please contact us if you require any further information. Additional information on SEO can also be found on the non mobile version of this site which you can view if you access from a tablet, laptop or PC.
